Some drivers will have the various effects and some won't. It depends on what the driver implements and allows. The options are going to be different for different drivers. You can try doing a basic USB DAC if your IT dept will allow plugging in a USB device. Some drivers are more interested in just giving a lot of effect options rather than actually having them sound good (realtek I'm looking at you). The quality of the effects and such depends on the quality of the driver. Though it doesn't go much into best audio quality settings.
